My mother recently reminded me that as a child I was an early walker. I started walking when just 10 months old - five months before my twin sister! Mum said I was a nightmare as I'd often climb out of my cot in the early hours of the morning, slide down the stairs on my bum and walk into the kitchen where I'd climb up on to a stool and make a sandwich. My mother would usually wake up on hearing the commotion and rush downstairs to find me holding the bread knife and covered in strawberry jam! And it seems my eight month old is aiming to follow in his father's footsteps and get on the move earlier than most.
Joe-Joe's loving this new skill so much that he refuses to sit down and will only stand and cling on to my legs or the sofa. I feel exhausted just watching him! He's just started to make rudimentary baby steps, although he always ends up in a heap on the floor when I let go of his arm - much to his annoyance. The only thing that annoys him more is the fact that he can only crawl backwards! Check out the home movies.
